Youth praised for nation building

SIBU: Emphasising the crucial role of youth in nation-building, Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, applauded the Junior Chambers International (JCI) Malaysia Senate for hosting the Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit 2023.

Speaking through his representative, Councillor Joshua Ting, at a hotel here today (Nov 25), Tiong highlighted the summit’s role in educating the youth about their potential contributions to national development.

“Their role as nation-builders and progress drivers will be highlighted in this summit, which we hope will inspire many to contribute to our country’s betterment,” he said.

Tiong expressed his confidence in JCI’s ability to instill positive values in young people and promote community involvement and positive change through collaboration.

Addressing institutional reforms, the Dudong assemblyman stressed the current opportunity for dialogue to address historical injustices and inadequacies. He urged everyone to contribute to uplifting the lives of Malaysians, with the need for honest leadership and good governance.
