10 deaths bring toll to 617

KUCHING: Sarawak on Sunday (Sept 11) recorded 10 Covid-19 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 617.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the 608th death was that of a 67-year-old local man from Lawas who was tested positive on Sept 8. He was admitted to Lawas Hospital and had a history of diabetes.

The 609th death was that of a 48-year-old local man from Sibu who was tested positive on Aug 27. He was brought to Hospital Sri Aman for further treatment and had a history of high blood pressure and diabetes.

The 610th death involved a 63-year-old local woman from Beluru who was tested positive on Sept 9. She was brought in dead (BID) to Miri Hospital and had a history of diabetes and anemia.

The 611st death was that of an 81-year-old local woman from Bau who was also BID to Bau Hospital. She was tested positive on Aug 27 and had a history of high blood pressure, heart disease, and chronic lung disease.

Meanwhile, the 612nd death involved a local man from Kuching aged 75 who was also BID to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH). He was tested positive on Aug 28 and had a history of high blood pressure.

The 613rd death involved a 66-year-old local woman from Sibu who was admitted to Kanowit Hospital. She was tested positive on Sept 10 and had a history of Organic Brain Syndrome with Frontal Lobe Syndrome.

The 614th death was that of a 75-year-old local man from Kuching who was tested positive on Sept 9. He was admitted to SGH and had a history of high blood pressure and diabetes.

The 615th death also involves a local man from Kuching aged 65 who was admitted to SGH. He was tested positive on Aug 26.

The 616th death was that of a 51-year-old local woman from Tebedu who was tested positive on Aug 31. She was admitted to SGH as well.

The final death recorded of the day was that of an 89-year-old local woman from Saratok who was tested positive on Sept 8. She was admitted to Saratok Hospital and had a history of high blood pressure.
