SRI AMAN: A total of 10 children from the nursery Tabika Kemas Rumah Ringgit received school bags donated by Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis.


According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) news report, the sincere donation was delivered by him personally when officiating at the Back to School Programme at Rumah Ringgit, Kampung Ibol, Undop here recently.


The programme was organised by the Women’s Movement of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Simanggang Branch in collaboration with the Women’s Bureau of the Rumah Ringgit Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK).


Besides handing over school bags, the Simanggang assemblyman also completed a cake cutting event in conjunction with the celebration of Women’s Day at the party branch level as well as celebrating the recruitment of new SUPP party members of Simanggang Branch.


During his speech, Harden approved the allocation of minor rural project (MRP) grants in 2023 amounting to RM3,000 to the JKKK Rumah Ringgit and RM2,000 to the Women’s Bureau to be used to finance their activities.
