This annual festival will be attended by big bikers from Sarawak, Sabah, Labuan, Brunei and Kalimantan.

“Reminder to road users to be careful, prudent and follow the rule while on the road. Do not drink and ride,” reminded Abang Johari at a press conference.

He said that when the road project from Sibu to Kapit was completed, he and BIBB would ride there to test the road.

“This Sibu-Kapit road expedition will be included in next year’s Borneo Island International Big Bike Festival which Sarawak will host,” he said.

The festival was initiated in 2000 with the objectives to strengthen the relationship between the states and countries involved, to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences among big bikers and to promote the road safety among road users.
