KUCHING: A total of 1,105 notices for various traffic offences have been issued by the Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ) throughout the Ops Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

It said in a Facebook post that during the operation period from April 18 to 27, among the offences committed were that motorists did not have driving licence, expired road tax, and overloaded vehicles.

At the same time, JPJ Sarawak said it had inspected a total of 13,526 vehicles including heavy vehicles.

“As reminder to road users, they are advised to ensure that the vehicles used comply with the laws.

“JPJ will always carry out enforcement with a focus on ensuring that road users comply with existing rules and laws,” it said.
