KUCHING: A total of 120 poor families received donation through the Majlis Jalinan Kasih today (Aug 26).
The wife of the Head of State Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib presented donations, in the form of basic necessities such as rice, sugar, flour and others along with cash, to the families at Surau Darul Ikhtiar Kampung Rampangi Fasa 2, Surau Darul Fadzillah Kampung Gita Laut, Darul Ibadah Mosque Kampung Kudei Lama and Satok Sport Complex, SLPAS Satok Field here.
Her personal initiative to organise such programme is to help ease the burden of the families who are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Accompanying her were Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah; and Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs & DBKU) and Assistant Minister of Utilities (Water Supply) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi with his wife Datin Siti Shorgayah Ahmad Zaidin.
