LAWAS: Perkim Lawas held a Tadarus and Khatam Al Quran programme at the Darul Makmur Mosque here recently.
Its chairperson, Datuk Dayang Morliah Awang Daud, said the programme is an annual event held every Ramadan.
“The programme we held today received an excellent response with around 1,271 participants, making it the largest Tadarus and Khatam Al Quran programme in Lawas,” she said.
“In addition to honouring this month of Ramadan, I also hope this programme can help participants improve the quality of their recitation and strengthen their connection with Allah,” she said.
Also present at the event was Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
