SARIKEI: A total of 144 students in the Kuala Rajang constituency for Zone Tanjung Manis received school uniform aid vouchers from Yayasan Sarawak today (Dec 10).
The vouchers were handed over by the Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration, and Environment, Datuk Len Talif Salleh, who is also the Kuala Rajang assemblyman, during a brief ceremony at the Tanjung Manis District Office.
“A total of 77 of them are from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Belawai, Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Abg Gesa (25), SK Abg Buyuk (11), SK Abg Galau (6), SK Tanjung Manis (6), SK Stalon (9), and SK Bayang (10),” he said on his Facebook post.
He added that the recipients are Year 1 and Form 1 students from B40 families.
“The list of names was submitted by each school and verified by the Tanjung Manis District Education Office through the certification process by the Tanjung Manis District Focus Group,” he added.
