15 youths rounded up for dangerous stunts on their m-bikes

MIRI: Fifteen motorcyclists were arrested for performing dangerous stunts on their motorcycles during an operation codenamed ‘Ops Samseng Jalanan’ yesterday (Mar 24).

Miri police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the youths aged from 15 to 28, were detained near Jalan Tudan, after they were spotted performing dangerous stunts like the ‘wheeli’ (raising the front wheel of their vehicles) and racing.

The six-hour operation  conducted by the Miri Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department  tarted at 12.30 am.

The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
