1,555 cases recorded today, no new clusters

KUCHING: Sarawak recorded a slight decrease in Covid-19 cases, recording 1,555 today compared to yesterday number of 1,867.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily update said the new cases brought the cumulative number to 283,018. No new clusters were recorded.

SDMC said that 1,542 out of the 1,555 cases fell under Category 1 and 2, while 13 cases were under Category 3, 4, and 5.

Kuching still had the highest number of cases with 660, followed by Miri (206), Bintulu (128), Sibu (116) and Serian (83).

Samarahan recorded 71 cases, followed by Bau (50), Sarikei (29), Limbang (24), Sri Aman (19), Betong (16), Asajaya (13), Tebedu (12), Tanjung Manis (12), and 10 cases each in Saratok and Matu.

Nine cases were recorded in Simunjan, eight each in Daro and Mukah, seven each in Lawas, Kabong, and Marudi, six each in Dalat, Lundu and Kanowit; Meradong (five); Lubok Antu and Tatau (four); Subis, Kapit, Pakan and Belaga (three); Pusa, Beluru, Sebauh (two) and one case in Bukit Mambong.
