KUCHING: Sixteen new deaths related to Covid-19 were reported on Tuesday (Sept 28), with these fatalities occurring on Sept 9 and from Sept 21 to 27.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the death recorded on Sept 9 involved a 68-year-old woman from Bintulu who passed away at the Bintulu Hospital.

The committee said the death recorded on Sept 21 was that of a 97-year-old woman from Bintulu who passed away at the Bintulu Hospital, adding that the case had high blood pressure, diabetes and dyslipidaemia.

As for the death registered on Sept 24, the committee said it was a Brought In Dead (BID) case involving a 63-year-old man from Serian whose body was brought to the Serian Hospital. It added that the man had diabetes.
