SIBU: A huge python decided to take a nap in a duck coop by the roadside after a duck meal in Kampung Jeriah this morning.
Civil Defence Force (APM) Sibu district officer Major Wan Mohd Jabir Wan Mohd Barudin said they were alerted to the presence of the reptile at 10.20 am.
A four-member team which was promptly deployed to the scene spotted the 16-foot-long reptile curled up inside the coop.
The team, equipped with snake catching equipment, managed to capture the slithery creature weighing around 50kg.
It was later released into its original habitat away from the village.
The team ended their operation at 11.38 am.
