17 news cases today, up three from yesterday

KUCHING: Sarawak recorded 17 new COVID-19 cases today, a slight increase compared to the previous day’s 14 cases.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said 16 of the total number comprised Categories 1 and 2 while one case was of Category 3.

Kuching accounted for the highest number of cases with eight followed by Sibu and Miri (three cases each) and one case each reported in Bintulu, Kapit, and Song.

It added that the cumulative total number of cases now stood at 252,840 with no death and clusters reported.
