190 receive diplomas at Cyberjaya College Kuching convocation

KUCHING: A total of 190 graduates from Cyberjaya College Kuching marked the culmination of their higher education journey as they received their diplomas during the convocation ceremony held at the Majma’ Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Hall on Thursday (Nov 30).

The breakdown of graduates includes 108 in healthcare, 20 in environmental health, 27 in physiotherapy, two in biotechnology, 43 in medical laboratory technology, and 25 in business studies.

“Despite the disruptions and uncertainties, the Class of 2023 demonstrated courage, persistence, and adaptability, making this year’s convocation a symbol of triumph over adversity,” said Cyberjaya College Kuching vice-chancellor Professor Dr Zabidi Hussin.

He noted the significance of the day, highlighting that the convocation not only acknowledges academic achievements but also personal growth and transformation.

He acknowledged the challenges faced by the graduates during their tenure, particularly the impact of the Covid-19 crisis.

Despite the challenges, he praised the graduates for developing resilience, patience, and an enhanced appreciation for science and truth.

The convocation ceremony also saw Feloniza Julan Ariffin Peter receiving the Best Graduate Award for her outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements.

A student of Diploma in Business Studies, she scored a Cumulative Grade Percentage Average (CGPA) of 3.88. Feloniza was awarded RM500, a plaque, and a certificate.

Also present were Cyberjaya College chief executive Doreen Tan and other distinguished guests.
