KUCHING: Around 1,900 guests attended the Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2024 open house hosted by Cahya Mata Sarawak here yesterday (May 4).
The event brought together staff, partners, stakeholders, and media practitioners to celebrate, network, and strengthen connections.
Datuk Seri Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Taib, the group managing director, emphasised the event’s goal of fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.
“This annual tradition is aimed at building strong bonds with our customers, partners, suppliers, and various stakeholders.
“We aim to maintain excellent relations with those we collaborate with,” he told reporters during the open house held at Wisma Mahmud, Jalan Sungai Sarawak here yesterday.
The festivities showcased a range of delicious dishes such as satay kajang, laksa Sarawak, mee kolok, nasi briyani, and local desserts.
During the open house, held from 10 am to 6 pm, Cahya Mata Sarawak also showed its continuous sports philanthropy by presenting sponsorship shirts with the company’s logo to three squash players from the Squash Racquets Association Sarawak (SRAS).
These players are set to represent Sarawak in the Southeast Asia Junior Individual Championship from May 8 to 12 in Bangkok, comprising four boys, one girl, and one coach.
Meanwhile, for the LION City Junior Open taking place from May 28 to June 2 in Singapore, six boys and one girl will be participating.
