KUCHING: The Jualan Rahmah programme (PJR) attracted a total of 807,254 visitors through 727 programmes in Sarawak, covering 31 parliamentary constituencies in 2023.
According to Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, the said programme organised by KPDN offers daily necessities sold at low prices.
“Aiming to benefit the public, especially the target group, the goods are sold up to 30 percent cheaper than the local market price,” he said.
He said this during the press conference after officiating at the Jualan Rahmah Santubong at Mydin, Bandar Baru Samariang here on Friday.
Having said this, he emphasised that the public should visit the KPDN portal at https://www.kpdn.gov.my/ms/jualan-rahmah/ to get a schedule of PJR events in their local area.
“Our ministry has made improvements to this programme since January 2024, by providing access to the public to get the future PJR schedule.
“This approach is made to ensure that the public can get information in advance about the date and location of the programme that will take place in their respective parliamentary and state constituencies,” he said.
The PJR at Mydin, Bandar Baru Samariang features goods such as packet cooking oil, laundry detergent, snacks, instant noodles, and so on.
Also present during the programme was Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) Minister and Santubong MP Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.
