KUCHING: Twenty-five lecturers from community colleges and polytechnics in Sarawak successfully obtained the Google Certified Educator international certification at Raia Hotel here yesterday (October 5).

In a press statement, Google Educator Master Trainer Norazalina Mohd Ghazali said the primary objective of this course was to improve the ability and skills of higher education officers (PPPT) in teaching and learning (PdP).

“The Google Certified Educator has two levels, namely, level 1 and level 2. This international certification awarded to lecturers signifies an improvement in their PdP skills,” she said.

Adding on, she clarified that while some lecturers had received the level 1 certification, there was no difference among lecturers who received level 1 or level 2 certification.

“This is because they have all been recognised as certified Google educators and trainers at the global level. The recognition is based on the certification of their proficiency in implementing Google technology in a standard and authentic manner,” she explained.
