26 locations placed under EMCO

KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today (Sept 2) said the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) was enforced at 26 locations.

The locations are in the districts of Bintulu, Sebauh, Lubok Antu, Sri Aman, Pakan, Julau, Asajaya, Betong and Saratok.

“From Sept 1 until Sept 14 in Bintulu, the EMCO has been enforced at SK Ulu Segan quarters, a rental room above Ing Hing Tyre shop, a rental room above Joyful Café, a rental room above Car Wash 63 in Commerce Square, a rental room above Elaine Trading shop and a rental room above 101 Food Court.

“Rumah Chali Anak Jali at Bukit Sekubong; Rumah Edwin Anak Gaung, Sg Sujan at Pandan and Rumah Jimbai Anak Saban, Sg Gerong at Jalan Spur Ulu Sebauh in Sebauh; Rumah Maria, Merbong in Engkelili, Lubok Antu; and Rumah Walter, Munggu Demam in Sri Aman are also undergoing the EMCO from Sept 1 until Sept 14,” said SDMC.

From today (Sept 2) until Sept 15, Rumah Bugak Bunsi, Munggu Ubah and Rumah Merong Nangkai, Jaong Strap in Pantu, Sri Aman; and Rumah Engkabi, San Semanju in Lubok Antu are placed under the EMCO.

Also starting form today until Sept 18, the EMCO was enforced at Rumah Jonathan, Beruru at Nanga Kara; Rumah Morris, Nyalak Ili and Rumah Ensilin, Lemujan in Pakan district; Rumah Unjah at Nanga Luau, Rumah Ayup at Nanga Lasi Mit and Rumah Ayup, Nanga Lasi Mit in Julau.

Starting from tomorrow (Sept 3) until Sept 16, the EMCO will be enforced in two villages in Asajaya, namely Kampung Serpan laut and Kampung Sampun Gerunggang.

“In Betong, Rumah Budol, Seruai in Spaoh and Rumah Gebriel at Sungai Sibau, as well as Rumah Mulok, Klua in Krian and Rumah Jemat, Malong, Awik in Saratok will be under the EMCo from Sept 3 until Sept 17,” added the committee.

Meanwhile, SDMC also revealed the extension of the EMCO at 30 locations at the districts of Belaga, Lubok Antu and Pusa.

“In Belaga, the EMCO will be extended from tomorrow (today) until Sept 9 at Rumah Tunai, Nanga Bengap in Batang Ai; Kampung Hilir Maludam, SK Long Urun, Rumah Pait Awan, Long Dulit Ulu Dikan, Tr Clement Usang, Rumah Dang Lajang, Rumah Besi Balan, Kem Putra Mas Urun, Rumah Robert Long Urun, Rumah Udau Tedong, Rumah Jangan Bunyi, Rumah Bisie Janea, Rumah Ating Tajai and Rumah John Ding Kun at Long Aie.

“Rumah Labang Uvet; Rumah Baya Sipat, Ulu Pawa; Tr Eric William Sia, Ulu Badeng; Tr  Asmidy Agau, Jambatan Urun (Tr Anthony Lerang); Tabika Kemas Long Urun; Tenaga Solar SEB quarters; and Ladang Sawit Urun 1 until 8 will be under the EMCo for the same period,” added SDMC.

The EMCO is extended at Uma Daro (Blok C & F) and Uma Belor (Blok C & G) in Belaga (from Aug 26 until Sept 8), Rumah Tunai, Nanga Bengap, Batang Ai in Lubok Antu (from today until Sept 8) and Kampung Hilir Maludam in Pusa (from today until Sept 15).

The committee has also ended the EMCO at eight locations on Thursday (Sept 2), namely at Rumah Benggau, Nanga Sut (Kapit); Kampung Bintawa Tengah and Hulu and Kampung Sungai Maong (2.0) in Kuching; Kampung Sibuluh-Kampung Nowang (Bau); Pig Farming Area (Simunjan), Rumah Biju, Entayau, Engkilili (Lubok Antu); Rumah Adih Usang, Sungai Asap (Belaga); and Rumah Ado Anak Bilong, Sungai Kakus (Tatau).

Apart from that, the district of Bukit Mabong has turned from yellow to red status after it recorded 58 new infection cases in the past 14 days.

Sarawak currently has 31 red zones with orange (three), yellow (five) and green (one).
