262 PKS students complete orientation week

KUCHING: A total of 262 new semester II 2022/2023 students of various study programmes at Polytechnic Kuching Sarawak (PKS) have completed their orientation week.

The PKS Director, Hikmatullah Hajid Ahmad Khan, was present for the closing ceremony of the orientation.

In his remarks, Hikmatullah expressed the wish that all incoming PKS students will make the most of the chance to continue their education there.

“Excellent academic and extracurricular accomplishments should be benchmark to

demonstrate the opportunity provided by continuing to study at a higher level.

To preserve harmony and unity, he stated, “I hope that the attitude of tolerance, respect, and understanding of each other will continue to be implemented among students.”

According to a statement issued yesterday, head of the Student Affairs Department (HEP) Mahathir Mohamad Kamin, deputy director (Academic) Samsudin Mohd Saleh, and deputy director (Academic Support) Ahmady Solong were among those attending the ceremony.

PKS is still accepting new students until February 9 and offers 13 different study programmes in Engineering, Information Technology, and Business.
