KUCHING: Approximately 30 people attended the “IBM Watson: The Immersive Artificial Intelligence Experience” talk held at MaGIC Sarawak @ Borneo744 here last Wednesday.
Presented by Zainal Azman from IBM, participants were shown the practical uses of Watson and the simplicity of developing an app using its application programme interface (API).
IBM Watson is an artificial intelligence (AI) system that uses natural language processing and machine learning to reveal information from large amount of unstructured data.
By understanding the data it learns from human input, it is not only able to improve its response accuracy but also understand trends that can then be utilise to generate business insights.
Powered by 50 underlying cognitive technologies that includes natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning, it can provide capabilities that span language, speech, vision and data insights.
