KUCHING: In Malaysia, 52.38 per cent or 262,000 affordable housing units  have been completed under the Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA) housing project.

Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming, who revealed this, explained that in Sarawak,   3,238 PR1MA housing units had been completed while 702 units were still under planning.

“This just shows that  the federal government is committed to offering affordable housing units to targeted groups such as the B40 groups.

“Under PR1MA also, there will also be a new city concept call PR1MA city, and also Madani city, but those two are still under planning,” he said.

Nga was speaking at a press conference after visiting the Residensi Bintawa Riverfront (PR1MA @ Bintawa Riverfront)  yesterday (November 6).

He added   that   high quality development  as well as strategic cooperation with stakeholders such as Urbanice Malaysia  marked PR1MA’s further commitment to providing quality housing and prosperous community development.

“The development is also in line with Malaysia MADANI aspirations to drive sustainable and inclusive economic growth, advocate for the rights of the people, and reduce the wealth gap,” he added.
