335-strong crowd at World Quran Hour event

SIBU: A total of 335 members of the public and invitees attended and enjoyed the World Quran Hour 2024 Programme here which started on April 2 to 4.

According to a press statement from the Sarawak State Library (Pusaka Sibu), several filling activities were carried out at its premises in Jalan Tun Tuanku Bujang, Sungei Merah here on April 2 to 3.

Among them were the Calligraphy Art Workshop, Prayer Workshop and Ramadan Lecture (online).

Meanwhile, the culminating event was carried out successfully by Pusaka Sibu in collaboration with Al Madinatul Husna Mosque, Sibu Jaya, which was the celebration of the World Quran Hour 2024 held at the latter’s premises on April 4.

“World Quran Hour this time brings the mission of Surah Juma’ah with the theme of “Unity and Social Transformation” which is the second time this programme has been physically conducted in Sibu.

“Together with the guest speaker, Habib Nael Taher brought the sharing of ‘Tadabbur Surah Al-Jumaah’to further enhance the programme.

“Pusaka Sibu hopes that what has been presented in this sharing programme can provide valuable knowledge and experience to all the participants present,” the statement added.
