KUCHING: The Kuching Strongest Man is back for its second year and this time, 26 males and 9 females contestants will be vying for ‘The Strongest Man and Woman’ titles at the Kuching Waterfront.

The contestants will be taking part in events such as Tyre Flip (men only), Atlas Stone, Car Deadlift, Yoke Walk, Farmers Walk and Truck Pulling.

The two-day competition also attracted several contestants from Brunei Darussalam, Sabah and Selangor and the winners will be announced later today.

The winners of both categories will take home RM1,500 and RM500 cash, a trophy, medal and certificate and a complementary two-day one-night stay at the Waterfront Hotel respectively.

Sarawak Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK) Bodybuilding/Strongman Sports Club head, ASP Matthew Manggie graced the event.

The event was organised by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in collaboration with Plaza Merdeka Shopping Mall and The Waterfront Hotel Kuching.
