KUCHING: Forty-nine participants attended the Public Works Department (PWD) Divisional Manual of Instruction (MoI) Workshop 2023 from March 7 to 9.
Organised by PWD’s compliance branch quality management sector, the workshop discussed and revised the MoI following the merging of the regional and division offices.
The revision covers the latest organisation chart, functions, roles and responsibilities of divisional office, including registration of new risks and updating of existing registered risks in the process and authority matrixes.
Participants were organised into eight groups to review and review the functions of the account section, contract section, fleet administration section, operation section, development section and design team unit as well as the scope of disaster response management, and division development planning.
The proposed revisions were presented at the critique session attended by PWD acting director Siti Nurainawati Aini, senior engineer of project monitoring and implementation unit Teo Nguong Leong and assistance director of compliance Mariam Dollah.
