57 special individuals benefit from donations

IGAN Member of Parliament Datuk Haji Wahab Haji Dollah (second right) presenting donations to one of the recipients at Kampung Tebaang, Daro, recently.

DARO: A total of 57 recipients comprising special individuals such as the disabled  (OKU), senior citizens and less fortunate received contributions from P. 207 Igan Service Centre in Kampung Tebaang here recently.

The handing over of donations was presented by Igan Member of Parliament Datuk Haji Wahab Haji Dollah handed over the donations in conjunction with the ‘Gotong-royong Perdana Kampung Tebaang programme’.

The beneficiaries received cash donations and daily food items.

Programme Coordinator who is also  Information chief of N.44 Jemoreng, Ahmad Dikoh said that contributions from Igan MP are given every year in conjunction with the programme.

He said it was aimed to ease the burden of the recipients and their families.

“This programme is one of the annual initiatives from the government through the P.207 Igan Service Centre to help and ease the burden of the recipients and their families.

In this regard, he also thanked the Igan MP for the contributions.

Earlier, audience at the programme enjoyed the performances of artistes from the peninsula namely Rahmat from the band Mega Group and Maya.

Also held at the programme were lucky draws and karaoke competition for the residents of Kampung Tebaang.
