SIBU: The vaccine is expected to be administered to around 7,000 residents in this district during the third phase of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, which begins Tuesday (May 18) until May 29.

Sibu Divisional Disaster Management Committee coordinator Dr Annuar Rapaee said this during a visit to the vaccination centre at the Sibu Indoor Stadium today (May 17).

Dr Annuar, who is also the Assistant Minister of Local Government and Housing, said the recipients are mostly senior citizens.

He went on to say that the first dosage of the vaccine will be administered from May 18 to May 29.

Dr Annuar who is also Education, Science and Technological Research Assistant Minister was equally pleased with the preparations.

He also reminded recipients to arrive for their appointments on time.

“I can arrive 15 to 30 minutes before the appointment.

“Please follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and practise social distancing,” the Nangka assemblyman said.

Neat preparation that has been made at PPV Indoor Stadium Sibu.
