KUCHING: Eighty-seven recipients from Tupong constituency received packets of sacrificial meat as part of the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration at the Darul Fadzillah Mosque here yesterday.

Deputy Prime Minister and Petra Jaya MP Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman were present to distribute the meat to the recipients, which included the needy.

Fazzrudin said the distribution of the sacrificial meat was an annual programme organised by the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Women Tupong Branch.

“Discussions have been held with the PBB Youth and Women Wings to organise the ‘Qurban Perdana N6 Tupong’ programme.

“The aim is to collect a significant number of cows and to be slaughtered in a single place and distribute the meat to all the PBB sub-branches within my constituency. Hence, we are able to organise the programme today” he said.

He told reporters this during the PBB Tupong Women Branch’s Sacrificial Rites Ceremony in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha at the Darul Fadzillah Mosque, Gita Laut here yesterday.
