KUCHING: AirAsia has announced the reinstatement of its domestic routes between Penang and the East Malaysian capital cities of Kuching and Kota Kinabalu effective March 31.

Seats are now available for booking, with fares starting as low as RM119 one-way all-in for Kuching to Penang and from RM159 for Kota Kinabalu-Penang routes.

Travelers can enjoy promotional fares by booking flights from now until Feb 18 for travel between March 31 and Nov 30.

“The routes, operated by AirAsia Malaysia from its hubs in Kuching and Kota Kinabalu respectively, have been a popular choice amongst travellers from both sides of the country.

“Aside from those in Penang, travellers from other parts of the northern states including Seberang Perai, Kedah, Perlis and Perak will also find the routes providing better, easier and more convenient travel options for them to reach Kuching and Kota Kinabalu and explore the natural beauty, rich heritage and diverse cultures of the Borneo regions of Sarawak and Sabah,” it said.
