MIRI: The Miri Hakka Association Youth Section is to host a blood donation drive on Sunday (Aug 7) in efforts to ensure the blood supply at the Miri Hospital is sufficient.
According to the association’s youth section chief Andy Jong Wan Joon, the event would be held at the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Miri in Jalan Bulan Sabit from 8.30am to 1pm.
“During the COVID-19 pandemic for the past two years, blood donation drive activities were suspended, and now, we are able to host the event to help Miri Blood Bank,” he said when met yesterday.
As such, Jong called members of the public to come and donate their blood on that day.
“Blood donors will be given free gifts from us as a token of appreciation for their contribution,” he said.
