MIRI: A man was arrested after he went amok at a petrol station at Jalan Merbau here on Wednesday night. The incident which occurred around 8pm caused some of the station workers to feel apprehensive.

A worker then contacted the police for help before the suspect was arrested and taken to the Miri Central Police Station for further action.

In an unrelated incident, a man was arrested for allegedly slapping his sister’s face three times in their house at Tudan here last Tuesday night. In the 7pm incident, the 40- year-old suspect suddenly went berserk before he slapped his sister’s face.

According to a source after the incident, the 41-year-old victim took refuge in their neighbour’s house.

“The victim then asked her nephew to contact the police.

“The suspect was apprehended and taken to a police station,” he said. He said the incident was believed to have occurred after the suspect was said to be unhappy with the victim. It is learned that the suspect who lives with his sister is always bringing problems to their family.
