MIRI: The Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) addressed the removal of two cobras on Monday night.
According to a statement from the APM today, the first call was received from a 41-year-old man in Taman Tanling, Jalan Grand Park at 6.55 pm.
A team of APM crew members was immediately dispatched to the location to assist in removing the venomous serpent.
The reptile was discovered at the main entrance of his residence. The operation to extract the snake concluded successfully, without any injuries.
Subsequently, they responded to another emergency call regarding a snake sighting in Taman Tunku at about 7.16 pm.
The 2-metre-long reptile was observed slithering in the compound of a house during a family gathering.
Alarmed, the 45-year-old homeowner contacted the APM for assistance.
Both snakes were safely released back into the wild.
