MIRI: It was just another typical afternoon as the sun was shining after the rainy weather for the past few days but to his shock a 57-year-old man encountered a deadly cobra inside his kitchen.
The man was walking towards his kitchen when he spotted the one-metre long serpent slithering on the floor.
The encounter was made around 2.28pm last Tuesday.
Fearing for his and family’s safety, the man immediately called up Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance.
Responding to the emergency alert, three Miri APM personnel were mobilised to the man’s house in Kampung Lusut, Lambir.
The team arrived at 3.05pm at the house and found the venomous snake still inside the kitchen.
It took the rescuers 15 minutes to remove the snake out of the kitchen area.
