KANOWIT: A cat that was trapped inside a drain at Lorong Kuini 30, Jalan Teratai Taman Lucky here today (Apr 12) was successfully rescued by personnel from the Civil Defence Force (APM).
APM Officer Lance Corporal (PA) Jennifer Ungang said they received a distress call at 2.25pm from a passerby and immediately dispatched three personnel to the scene.
Upon arrival, the APM team discovered that the cat had fallen into the drain near the caller’s residence.
The resilient cat, with its white fur and spotted markings, presented a challenge for the APM personnel, who eventually had to use a net to safely extract the feline.
Jennifer mentioned that the rescue operation took approximately half an hour, and the cat was finally freed from the drain by around 3.25 pm.
