Buln urging the party members to safeguard Sarawak's rights

KUCHING: The party members of the Sarawak Aspiration People’s Party (Aspirasi) have been urged to uphold the party’s principles of safeguarding the pride and dignity of Sarawak.

Its chairman Buln Ribos said that as local Sarawakians, the members must be proud of their mother state and must be courageous to move forward and be willing to fight for the party.

“Our founder, the late Dr Patau Rubis was ousted from Sarawak politics due to political differences in the state.

“And one of his great advice to us in the party is that poor people are also capable of running a party not only the elite and the wealthy people.

“We have now been around for 25 years celebrating our Silver Jubilee and we must be courageous and have the willingness to fight for the party.

“We must not only be smart but also be courageous to move forward. We are the ambassadors to safeguard our rights in Sarawak,” Buln said when speaking at the party’s Silver Jubilee celebration here on Sunday.
