KUCHING: Agencies and Departments under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Urban Development need to further practise the Sarawak Civil Service (SCS) Six Shared Values – Integrity, Kind and Caring Professionalism, Sense of Urgency and Ownership, Team Spirit and Result-Oriented.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said this as the role of civil servant is crucial in ensuring that all state’s initiatives are implemented and the objectives of their implementation are achieved.

“Civil servants who are committed, dedicated, have integrity, and practise the principles of SCS Six Shared Value are invaluable assets in implementing the state government’s agenda.”

He said this in his speech during the Ministry’s Excellence Service Award (APC) ceremony at Sheraton Hotel here on Wednesday (May 1).

He hoped that the awards can encourage positive competition among the staff under the Ministry to enhance the quality and productivity towards achieving the aspirations of the state in general, and specifically the vision and mission of the Ministry.
