MIRI: The Batu Niah Lions Club is organising a blood donation campaign this Sunday (Aug 21) and is urging the public to support this noble cause.
The campaign starts from 8.30am and runs until 1pm at the Miri Red Crescent Society training hall.
Petronas Lambir Morsjaya, Regal Marketing & Trading Sdn Bhd (Indocafe), Premium Food Hunter and Genesis Coworking Space will be sponsoring the event.
Lions Club of Batu Niah president and organising chairman Andy Jong Wan Joon said the campaign was one of the activities to celebrate its 20th anniversary as well as being a corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity.
“This campaign has the cooperation of Miri Hospital, Blood Bank Miri Hospital and Malaysian Red Crescent Society Miri Chapter.
“Successful donors will receive goody bags from Indocafe that contain bread, certificate of appreciation, face masks, fruits, or 1kg of rice.”
Donors also have the opportunity to participate in a lucky draw, where they stand to win prizes such as fuel vouchers worth RM5, 5kg of rice, T-shirt, Vico Chocolate Malt 3-in-1 Pack, and many more.
