KUCHING: A total cash prize of RM14,400 will be up for grab when the Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas Cup 2023 kicks off from February 24 until 26.
The competition, which is also called Betong Indoor Futsal Championship, is organised by Bukit Saban Youths and it will be held at Spaoh Futsal Court.
Betong Division Football Association (BDFA) president Abang Suhordie Abang Zaini said that this tournament will feature up to 32 teams in the competition.
“It is limited to 32 teams only and all teams are representing their respective villages and clubs in the Betong area.
“The organisation of the tournament is to provide a platform for players to showcase their talents.
“We believe that many talented players can be identified and scouted over this three-days tournaments,” he added.
The champion of the tournament will be able to receive cash amounting to RM7,000 along with a trophy and medals while the runners-up will be able to bring home RM4,000 in cash along with a trophy and medals.
For the team that finished third in the tournament, they will bag RM1,500 in cash along with a trophy and medals respectively.
Additionally, a cash prize of RM400 will be awarded to the best player in the final.
