KUCHING: In conjunction with Sarawak’s Authors Festival 2017, Sarawak State Library will be holding a programme entitled ‘Bicara Tokoh Sasterawan’ with Dato’ Dr. Zurinah Hassan ( Sasterawan Negara 2015 ) and Datu Dr. Haji Adi Badiozaman Tuah ( Sasterawan Negeri Sarawak 2009 ).
The programme will be held today from 9.00 am – 11.30 am at the Seminar Room, Level 1, Sarawak State Library.
The purpose of the programme is to promote the speaker and their artwork.
It is also to build strong cooperation between Sarawak State Library, speakers and the public as well as to promote writing skills among the students.
There will also be an exhibition from various organizations in conjunction with this festival which will start today until Saturday from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm at the library’s Anjung Budi and Lobby.
Exhibitors are from Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO), Ministry of Home Affairs, Sarawak Branch, Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Tun Abdul Razak (Kota Samarahan), Sarawak authors and Pustaka Negeri Sarawak.
Public are invited to the meet and greet session with Sarawak authors at the Authors Signing Corner.
This is the chance to meet local authors up close and have their autographs.
The session starts at 9.00 am – 5.00 pm at the library’s lobby.
All of the programmes are open to all, admission is free.
