MERADONG: A motorcyclist was severely injured in a road accident on Thursday at Jalan Selidap.

Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said that the accident occured at a dark two-way road around 12.10am.

The motorcyclist, identified as Muhamad Ngu Abdullah, was sent to Sarikei Hospital after sustaining severe injuries on his head, chest, hands and feet.

“The accident happened when a Perodua Viva driven by Ahlip Muhamad Aup was heading towards Bintangor.

“When he arrived at Sungai Sebuluh, Jalan Selidap, the motorcycle suddenly entered the car’s lane and collided with the car,” he said in a statement yesterday.

The driver was unharmed but his car sustained some damages.

The case is classified under Section 41(1) of Road Transport Act 1987.
