KUCHING: Sibu Water Board (SWB) on Monday (June 22) said all bills issued to its customers since March 18 to May 31 were estimated based on past three months’ average.

This is due to the restrictions imposed by the movement control order (MCO) and conditional movement control order (CMCO), it said in a statement.

“During the period, our meter readers were not deployed to take meter readings at the site,” it added.

With the estimation, SWB admitted that the water bills issued might either be slightly over or under estimated.

In view of this, it said those who wanted actual reading for re-issuance of a new bill could come to its counter at the Sibu UTC here.

The public can call SWB’s hotline 084-216311 or its official Telegram (013-8106311) for any bill enquiries or other assistance.

SWB appealed for understanding on the matter and apologised for any inconvenience caused to all its customers.
