KUCHING: Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing has given his assurance that development projects, particularly in the rural areas, will be implemented smoothly.

The Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture said this is important to ensure that the progress of development projects for the benefit those living in longhouses, is not delayed or neglected.

He thanked members of Gerempong Rumah-Rumah Panjai Sungai Sebauh (GRPS) for taking the time to meet him at the Parliament Complex to highlight issues on roads, water, and electricity supply and communication networks.

“Thank you for also informing me about several matters related to the projects launched by the government which could not be implemented smoothly.

“I would like to remind all officials involved to fulfil their responsibilities, and understand that the effort to upgrade the infrastructure facilities at longhouses and in rural areas is the commitment of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS),” he said in a Facebook post.
