Her biological mother is Lily Anak Adin of Rumah Jipon Anak Piyau, Sungai Sangan, Tatau near here.

Linguh Anak Angking, 29, who is Patricia’s guardian for the time being needs Lily to help him.

Linguh, a worker in a palm oil plantation said that Patricia needed her maternal mother for the adoption process.

He added that Patricia was handed over to him and his wife when she (Patricia) was only a year old and has been raised by them as their own daughter ever since.

“On 28 May, 2012 a woman named Lily Anak Adin came to my workplace at Karisma Farm, Jalan Samalaju Bintulu to hand over her one year old daughter to me because she cannot afford to take care of her,” Linguh told Utusan Sarawak/New Sarawak Tribune as he was disparate to find Lily Adin.

Linguh said he needs to adopt Patricia to enable her to attend Primary One next year.

He added that he wanted the matter to be done urgently and promptly to ensure Patricia’s future, especially her education.

“I need Lily Adin, Patricia’s biological mother. My wife and I have been taking care of Patricia all these years and I feel it is my responsibility to adopt her,” he said.

According to Linguh, he has never met Lily Adin nor has she asked about Patricia since she left her with them.

He said they have tried various means including asking for assistance from police in Bintulu to locate Lily but to no avail.

Hence, Linguh is appealing to anyone who knows Lily Adin’s whereabouts to go to the nearest police station or to contact him at tel: 019-8677131.
