MARUDI: The body of Zulkifli Narudin, 31, who was reported missing after he fell off a tug boat in Sungai Tinjar last Thursday, was found yesterday morning by several local anglers.
The body was discovered about 10 metres from where he fell off the tug boat. The remains have been handed over to the police for further action.
According to Miri Fire and Rescue department chief Supt Law Poh Kiong, following the discovery, the search-and-rescue (SAR) operation was called off at 10.40am yesterday.
The SAR operation was launched on Thursday morning after a report on the missing person was lodged by his father at 10.30am.
