MARUDI: A body of a septuagenarian who went missing since this morning (Dec 9), has been found in a water catchment area, here.

According to a report by Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the deceased, identified as Ngo Eh Min, 76, from Kampung Cina, Marudi, was found in a depth of two feet in the water catchment.

The discovery was made almost four hours after his family lodged a report for help to locate the missing man at Marudi Bomba.

Ngo was said to have gone out from his house at around 9.30 am on the same day and had never returned home, which triggered his family to approach Bomba for help.

The body was successfully retrieved by Marudi firemen and handed over to the police for further action.
