KUCHING: State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) yesterday said at least three locations in Betong affected by floods on Tuesday were still being closely watched.
They are Taman Terentang at Mile 2 ½ , Rumah Panjang Penurin and Rumah Panjang Lempaong.
Overall, the situation is under control except for Rumah Panjang Lempaong where the floodwaters are still on the rise.
So far, however, none of the affected families have been evacuated.
In Taman Terenang, only one family of five people was affected while at Rumah Panjang Penurin, 230 people from 46 biliks (apartments) were affected and at Rumah Panjang Lempaong 50 people from 10 apartments were affected.
