KUCHING: Santubong MP Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar hopes that the RM200,000 sum allocated to construct a 110-metre long concrete bridge to replace the existing bridge at Kampung Santubong will enhance the comfort and safety of residents there.

“Construction under this Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project will begin on Jan 11 and it is scheduled to be completed within six months,” said the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law) in a Facebook post on Saturday (Jan 8).

He said the handover ceremony had been carried out by the Public Works Department (JKR) together with representatives from the Santubong Parliamentary Service Centre to the appointed contractor, Johny Wahi.

“May he carry out the assigned responsibilities and tasks as well as possible and complete this project on time,” said Wan Junaidi.
