KUCHING: Bratakthon, a mini marathon will be held during the Bung Bratak Day which will be held on May 1 (Wednesday) coinciding with the public holiday of Labour Day.

Bung Bratak Heritage Association (BBHA) chairman, Datuk Peter Minos pointed out that the mini marathon is a healthy uphill and downhill climbing and he encouraged those who are interested in nature’s challenges to participate.

“The Bratakthon has gained popularity over the years, drawing both the young and the old to join in this unique race.

“Participants keen on joining this exciting event can contact the manager of the Bung Bratak Heritage Centre, Brenda at 019-8497664,” he said in a press statement on Saturday (Apr 20).

Minos reiterated all participants will receive a special Bratakthon t-shirt and a token of appreciation.

He also said winners across four different categories will be awarded medals, trophies, and cash prizes.

“We have received great feedback from previous participants who described joining the Bratakthon an exciting and joyful event .

“They also said running up and down the hill at this famous ancient Bidayuh settlement gives them a unique feeling and experience,” he added.
