SUAI, NIAH: After flagging-off the 1Communy Malaysia (K1M) Convoy at Kpg Iran some 90 km from here, Samalaju Assemblyman, Majang Renggi took the opportunity to meet 15 members of the village security and development committee (JKKK) of Rumah Kalang Jok near Suai Bridge and nearby longhouses and Subis District Council (SDC) Councillor and government officers.

In his brief meeting, Majang urged the JKKK to organise more community-based programmes in the area which can uplift the people’s socio-economy.

“It will be good if JKKK of villages and longhouses can liaise with government departments and agencies to organise programmes like workshops and seminars for the community here. Programmes related to agriculture is good to increase the income of the people,” he said.

He also reminded residents of villages, longhouses and oil palm estates along the Bintulu-Miri coastal road, to be extra careful and alert to flash flood with excessive rain in the past few days.
