KUCHING: A car was destroyed in a fire at Kampung Semariang here last Tuesday.
According to a statement by the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), ten personnel in a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) machinery and an EMRS vehicle from Petra Jaya fire station were dispatched to the scene after an emergency call was received at 12.40pm.
Upon arrival at the scene, about 4 kilometres from the fire station at 12.44pm, firefighters took about five minutes to put out the fire.
No injuries or human casualties were reported.
It was learned that the owner of the Proton Saga Aeroback could not be identified as the car did not bear any plate number.
