MIRI: Another suspect was arrested last Saturday afternoon in connection with the theft and robbery of a pick-up truck at Jalan High Street here on Jan 3.
The suspect was the third arrested by the police in connection with the case.
Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah said in a press statement yesterday that with the arrest of the 39-year-old suspect, police considered the case solved.
The suspect was nabbed by Marudi Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel in Long Lama at 1pm on Saturday.
During the arrest police also seized the stolen vehicle.
It is believed that the suspect was the buyer of the stolen vehicle.
However, it was not immediately known how much he has paid the other two suspects who were apprehended on Friday.
The case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code for robbery.
